Is The Most Preferred Installation

Note the Vent Cap Minimum of 24" Higher Than
Any Point Within 10' of Vent Cap

Start the vent with 4" Oval Pipe
Adapt to 4" Round Pipe in the attic
(This is the most economical)

The Vent Installation Must Comply With All
Local Codes and Ordinances
If in Doubt, Consult Your Local Codes or Inspector

OFFSET VENTING

If you   MUST OFFSET   to miss obstacles, etc. in the attic, 
Use Two 45º ells with one or more
pieces of pipe between them

DO NOT USE    90º Ells
This restricts the vent flow and can cause
nuisance pilot outage

Note the Vent Cap Minimum of 24" Higher Than
Any Point Within 10' of Vent Cap

Also Note 4' - 0" Distance From Top of Heater
To The First 45 Degree Offset

DO NOT run vent into a chimney
Our heaters are not designed for this type installation

Selkirk Metalbestos Gas Vent pipe and fittings have been tested
and listed for installation as Type B and Type B/W gas vents to be installed
in single and multi-story buildings in accordance with
the standards of
The National Fire Protection Association NFPA
No. 54 and NFPA No. 211.

Vent Materials must be enclosed in occupied portions of a building.
When the enclosure is made of combustible material,
vent pipe must have one inch clearance.
